DfE Assured – Funded Mental Health Leads Training

This eight week training has been assured for DfE senior Mental Health Lead training grant funding of £1200 to cover the entire cost of the course, your time and any additional requirements.

Developed by our Nessie founder and CEO Rachel Lambie and Lead trainer Viv Ofstedahl, this course aims to provide a reflective space, practical tools and ‘train the trainer’ models to enable you to develop a comprehensive mental health strategy for your setting.

Additional Bespoke Trainings Include:

‘My Feelings and Me’ – An early intervention, 12 week program to support children struggling to attend school (EBSA).

‘My World & Me’ – Understanding my autism / ADHD.  A 12 week program to support children with neurodiversity

 ‘My time’ – A child-led, Arts based, developmentally reparative and nurturing program for schools.

Other trainings include:

  • A foundation in emotional & mental health
  • Anxiety & developing resilience: early years; adolescents or additional needs
  • Bereavement & loss (including divorce and separation),
  • Self-harm: Foundation or SLT safeguarding & risk assessment
  • Positive behavior support (PBS) for children/young people with SEND and emotional challenges
  • LGBTQ+ & Diversity
  • Trauma & attachment

Supervision provides 1-1 or group support and professional development to manage both the professional and personal demands of their work.
