Positively supporting young people with self-harming behaviours

Date(s) - 08/06/2021
10:00 am - 11:30 am

This online forum aims to explore and discuss issues around self-harm, low mood and poor mental health and offer parents/carers a better insight and understanding.

It provides an opportunity to develop insight relating to triggers, thoughts & emotions behind self-harming behaviours such as cutting, picking, punching and other deliberate risky behaviours as well as exploring and developing a positive approach to keeping young people safe and on the path to positive emotional and mental health.

There will be a chance to identify and discuss strategies that can positively support a child who self-harms.

This training will be led by Rachel Lambie (Dramatherapist and CEO) and Viv Ofstedahl (Training Lead, and experienced School Mental Health and Wellbeing Lead) from NESSie.
